Mohammad has requested me to write him a letter of recommendation. Every year, I am approached by several dozens of students who request a recommendation letter. However, I end up recommending only a few of them. I believe that a letter of recommendation is very serious business, and I write one, only when I am convinced that the candidate is right for the program that he/she is applying for.
It gives me immense pleasure in recommending Mohammad Bagheri for any Ph.D. Programs. I have known him for more than 3 years in my capacity as a research assistant of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
During the 2 years that I was his advisor for MSc Thesis, I have come across many students with a sharp understanding and knowledge of Electrical Engineering, but he is the rare student who can develop a multi-dimensional perspective of power electronics engineering. He has been doing much research on the conceptual understanding of novel subjects in power electronics engineering.
His Project titled “An Improved Method to Reduce the Number of Sensors in Modular Multilevel Converters” was among the few best projects carried out in the department. He has shown motivation, intelligence, preserving nature, and analytical aptitude for graduate study. His attendance and his presence of mind have been a key part of his study program that has helped him to contribute positively while working as a part of the team.
In my view, Mr. Mohammad Bagheri compares favorably with the best among my student I am sure, he will make an outstanding performance in his studies. I recommend him in the strongest term for admission to Ph.D. programs at any high-ranked university.
